Pyrography, henna, graphic artist

Liesel lives and works in Portland, Oregon and during Covid, she started to fully explore her artistic endeavors. She free-hand drew and burned intricate designs that were inspired by the symmetry of nature on wood shelves, bike racks, plant holders and more. After about a year of honing her artistic skills, she named her business Sparka Studios (meaning to kick-start in Swedish) and began selling a few products online via Facebook, Reverb, at small pop-up markets and at private parties. She pursued the idea of art guitars because combining music and art. Lisa also practice the healing practice of henna body art. She is honored to participate in the tradition of henna and makes it a priority to be educated about multicultural henna studies, the long history and culture. The highlight of her work is feeling the deep and magical connection between plant and person while providing exquisite designs. 

Liesel's goals are to produce beautiful items, connect with and build a community of artists and inspire others to absorb and connect with the beauty and serenity of nature.
